Understanding factors that impact feelings of compassion fatigue, and identifying beneficial components for a support program: A survey of laboratory animal professionals in Canada and the US

Presenter: Carly Moody

This webinar will focus on a recent survey of laboratory animal professionals in Canada and the US examining factors that may influence feelings of compassion fatigue (CF), and identification of components for CF support programs. The study results discussed will provide evidence-based recommendations for creating beneficial CF support programs for Canadian laboratory animal professionals. The webinar will be followed by a roundtable discussion session to explore issues surrounding compassion fatigue at research facilities and how institutions are dealing with this issue.
